The HandPunch GT-400 takes “employee self-service” to the next level by providing enhanced features designed to prevent buddy-punching and enabling your employees to do more than simply record their time. Once your employees have verified their identity on the HandPunch GT-400, which takes less than one second, they can accomplish a variety of timecard tasks quickly and accurately.

The Large ¼ VGA Display screen gives users the ability to access more information per screen than was ever possible with previous terminals. With the push of a button, users can view their schedule for the entire week or review their timecard for the current pay period. The simplicity and flexibility of the HandPunch GT-400 melds perfectly using real time integration with Data Financial’s intuitive time and attendance software, Data FinancialTimecard™. Workflow notifications, employee messages, sick and vacation balances, and other advanced features are extended directly and intuitively to your employees.
In addition to being user-friendly, the HandPunch GT-400 unit will dramatically reduce your payroll costs by eliminating buddy-punching. The HandPunch GT-400 uses the size and shape of your employee’s hand to verify their identity each time they punch. No fingerprints or palm prints are utilized, which increases accuracy and removes the chance such personal data could be retrieved from the unit. The standard four-color LED bar provides users with instant visual feedback of punch verification. Other features of the HandPunch GT-400 includes an anti-microbial platen with printed hand outline, advanced communications capable of meeting virtually any networking need, twelve native languages including Spanish and French, flash-based storage and the ability to support over 100,000 employees. The GT400 is a hardware platform using open architecture technology, based on the Linux Operating System, equipped with Ethernet, USB, optional wireless, bar code readers, and other optional peripheral devices. As such, your investment will not become obsolete, new capabilities and employee self service applications will become available and can be loaded with a quick and simple software update.
The GT400™ communicates in real time, sending and retrieving information from Data Financial Timecard™ using DataFinancial’s open XML API. In the event communications are unavailable, the terminal stores the transactions and periodically retries until communications can be established. Using DHCP this terminal does not require a static IP address. For over a decade, Data Financial has been leading the way in the time and attendance industry with features like zero-footprint installation, automatic work flow notifications and web-based solutions. Data Financial continues to break new ground by integrating with the most effective biometric device available, making previous biometric solutions obsolete.
